About The Studio

Our studio is at 8834 Rixlew Lane, Manassas, next door to Unity-Reed High School.

Because lessons are an hour, parents can take the opportunity to pop over to Manassas Mall to get some errands done, or just enjoy a bubble tea or pretzel!

Music is the joy of my life!

I’m so lucky that my parents gave me piano lessons as a child, and I’m so pleased that, for over 30 years now, I’ve been able to share that joy with others.

I’ve studied piano since the age of 8, receiving my professional training at Immaculata University (B. Music) in 1991. I’ve run my own studio since then, while continuing to further my education and performing professionally in the Northern Virginia area.

I enjoy studying, performing, and teaching piano to kids! I teach students from Manassas, Bristow, Centerville, and throughout Prince William County.

If you listen in on my lessons, you will likely hear a good bit of laughter – we work hard, but have a lot of fun. Here’s something a student told me that cracked me up:
Sayali, age 8: “Miss Kelly, Miss Kelly, we got a kitten! She’s only an octave long!!”

I love working with little kids!

I love their enthusiasm, their honesty, and their curiosity for everything around them.

There is nothing more magical than seeing a child create, and to explore their ideas through music.

I make our time in the studio fun and encouraging, because the goal is for my young students to view piano playing as more than just a performance art -- my hope is to instill a love for creative expression that will last their whole lives!

I started my piano studies at the age of 6 with Northern Virginia instructor Valerie Harris. In 2018, I moved to Muzzin Music Studio to continue my advanced studies with Kelly Muzzin. I'm pursuing a career in social work focusing on children and their education, and will someday open a piano studio of my own.
